Together Again February from Humble Quilts





 I have my top section pieced
And have my lower 4 blocks ready for applique. I had to piece a couple of them too. 

I'm going to start by adding the angel on the top section, then start pulling fabric for one of the blocks. I am really considering buttonhole stitch in black! (by machine) 

Have you gotten any fabric pulled yet?
PS, When I pulled out the angel pattern I was surprised at how HUGE it was! It doesn't look that large on the quilt.

There has been some talk about the difficulty of finding the book ...

Anniversary Quilt 2020 Quiltalong from Humble Quilts

Here's our 2020 Humble quilts quiltalong! It's called Anniversary Quilt designed by Linda Brannock and Jan Patek. It's an oldie, but it seems many of us have the book and a few are still on the hunt!



Here is a single block that's in the book that I made several years ago.

The block is a variation of a whig rose- primitive style and Barbara Brackman has a bit to say about that block, if you are interested go HERE.

We'll start off slow, just choosing fabric for the center background.

Upcoming on Humble Quilts from Humble Quilts

We will be working on the Anniversary Quilt by Brannock/Patek, we just will not be starting in January. I've been keeping my eyes open for a reasonably priced book and when I come across one I announce it on my facebook group. Is anybody still looking for a book?


 Here is my one block primitive whig rose made eons ago from this book. 

Here is what we will be making. You can always start gathering fabric or trace patterns in preparation.
